Federal judge rules against Alaskas ban on gay marriage

US court rules that Alaska cannot enforce state amendment saying marriage must be between one man and one woman

A US federal judge on Sunday struck down Alaskas ban on gay marriages, the latest court decision in a busy week for the issue across the country.

It was not immediately clear when marriage licences would be issued to same-sex couples in the state.
