Satya Nadella, Microsoft's recently appointed CEO, revealed in a memo to employees on Thursday that the company plans to nix the Nokia X Android phone efforts and double down on making — wait for it — Windows phones.
"We plan to shift select Nokia X product designs to become Lumia products running Windows," Nadella wrote. "This builds on our success in the affordable smartphone space and aligns with our focus on Windows Universal Apps."
