Manhattanhenge, supermoon light up the sky Friday night
NBC News : In a rare occurrence, the full supermoon and the sunset phenomenon known as Manhattanhenge occurred on the same night Friday.
Matthattanhenge, when the sunset aligns with Manhattan’s street grid, only happens twice a year. Tonight’s supermoon is also the 1st of three full moons this summer that are occurring when the moon is closer to earth than average.
