Spain’s King Juan Carlos abdicates

CNN: Spain’s King Juan Carlos I has announced that he will abdicate the throne in favor of his son Crown Prince Felipe, Spain’s Prime Minister Rajoy said in an unexpected news conference.



Rajoy did not give a reason for the king’s abdication, though Juan Carlos is expected to make a statement later today
